And yes, EE's come in a variety of colors. I had three, two with the "typical" chipmunk markings, and one a lovely white w/gold tipped wings. While unlikely, your little peanut might be a pullet. Here's hoping with you!

AHHHHHH... Nikon.... yep. Those rock. I have a Canon. Wanted a Nikon when I upgraded but didn't want to have to buy all new lens. Gonna try that "Bounce the flash off the cealing" trick. Thanks

Nikon d200 with 17-55mm nikor lens. Bounce the flash off the cealing and presto.​

I believe this is an Easter Egger as well. I have an EE cockerel which happened to by MY "rare exotic" chick and it had the exact same leg color yours does now. The legs on mine are now the green you'd expect. Yours is a very pretty color!
