What would he go with?

I have this rooster that has very unique colors and would like to use him in a breeding program, what type of hen should I put him with.

Do you have a similar hen? If not, aim for a bird with similar 'splash' patterns.

I'd definitely pick a hen who has similar head feathers to his, or less, so their offspring will hopefully be able to see clearly. It's always a shame when pretty birds just have so many feathers on their head that they can't see properly, and get anxious and picked on.

If there was a way you could search for other splashed patterned silkies, that would be great; keeping them purebred and call them, 'Splashed Silkies'!

Not sure what his genetics are, but he reminds me of a splash salmon Faverolles we had.
