What would you do with your chickens if you won the lotto?

I always said this also - move where I have no neighbors.

The trick is to get GOOD neighbors

I have a few neighbors - none closer than a 1/4 mile, but they are great folks. Most of them I can barely see their houses from here.

now the last place I lived.... Hoo Boy!! You can have those neighbors, and welcome to them.

The neighbors I have now are a lot like we are - they want their privacy, they want to be able to do on their land whatever they want to do on their land, and they respect other folks who want to do the same. Maybe we just got awfully lucky finding this place, but let me tell ya, it's like stepping back in time here - and I love it.

We've actually had tremendous help from our neighbors - and they have gotten what help we could offer when needed, too. We trade/barter and generally work things out amongst ourselves (which is very nice for a change having folks nearby who can actually accomplish that sort of thing.)

I'd probably build a $50,000+ coop for my $40 dollars worth of chickens

It would be AWESOME!

a nice big filtered pond for all my call ducks and plenty of room for my doves and pigeons to fly free.
Branches and roost for my pheasants and large open area for my turkeys and pea fowl.
A nice waterfall for the ducks and a shallow place for my pigeons and doves to bathe and for others to drink from.
Large beds to grow green things for them all to eat and no picking they could just help themselves.

I like to dream too

I would buy about 500+ acres, build a house and new chicken coop with heat and air, so they would comfortable all the time....... Oh, and I would buy every breed of chicken there is.

How many chicken owners live in the City?

I'd start a raise a chicken foundation. some sort of educational program on how to raise chickens and give out grants to those that want chickens buy can't afford feed them or to build a coop. Kind of a teach a man to fish type program.

I would buy as much land around us as possible and start farming full time, cows, horses, more chickens, goats, and pigs. Hire a ranch hand or two to help and take a long trip with my kids and the turtor I would hire for them. This would be after I paid off all of my and our closest families bills.

I would by 50 acres or more and build homes for myself my sister and 3 friends (that I consider family) We would all live off the grid and how ever we pleased. I would have the nicest and most effiecient farm built to raise not only chooks but cows and pigs and a few handsome farmhands to help

I would put in high fencing and a real Avian net over a big piece of land for the chooks complete with a series of coops and breeding pens. with heat water and electric pop doors.

I would also buy myself the nicest Silkies an SG I could find and have tons of roos since I love them best

and my boy Alabaster would be king roo having special privleges.

Oh and I would have lots og guinea hens

Much money would be put away for my ds.
