WHAT YA GOT SWAP Chat Thread

Does no one find it odd that someone joined 2 days ago and their only posts have been in the swap and auction threads? To me, that throws up a bunch of red flags. On the boards I ran, they wouldn't even be allowed to trade for a while, and would have to have other posts besides in trading areas.

Why would someone join this board and not be talking about their chickens or other pets?

Oh well. Hopefully no one gets scammed...

Oh, and I don't know about the minor, thing. I think I am talking about someone else...?

I'm glad I found this swap. It looks like fun. I have an empty incubator so I'm going thru withdrawal.

I keep refreshing waiting to pounce on something haha. Thinking about posting some of my white silkie eggs.

Maybe a stipulation in the rules stating you have to be a member for x amount of days and have a min of x amount of posts before being able to join in?

Caroline - My 5 yr old saw your japs and I think she began to drool. Her actual words were "Those would be easy for me to tote around". Very pretty!

The rules allready say that untill the new person sends the item with deliver comfermation number theirs will not be sent,I believe that solves the proublem of them jipping anyone....

Thanks for pointing out that we already put something in place to hopefully prevent a problem of someone not following through with their swap. Maybe the new member was a BYC lurker and saw our fun swap and decided to become a member to be able to swap.

Did I do something wrong? I don't have any chickens to talk about. I don't have any inside pets because I rent this house but they let me have my geese

Do you want to see them? I think they are beautiful. They are Sebastopols. This is the first year that I have had any luck hatching them. Last year I let the goose set them and she just broke them into little pieces. She ate them after that, so I set in an incubator this year. I had 7 and gave my friend 1. Recently lost one though because of a predator. Never could even any feathers so I have no idea what it was. They do free range during the day but it must have been something big to pick one up and leave no feathers.

I know they aren't show quality or anything because they have some stiff feathers.
This is last year's adults

Edited to add: Obviously my finger was not supposed to be part of that picture.
