Sorry you felt that way. They had problems in the past with people accepting swaps and not sending their swap in return. I am new here to so it never happened to me but for some the memory is still too fresh.
Man, I wish I had some of those geese. I have Africans and Embdens. I'd love to set up a side swap sometime for some of those eggs. Keep me in mind if you would ever be interested.
sebbies! I looooove those geese! If I get geese, it will be those, or egyptians lol. I love sebbies!
Bet they arent laying anymore this year huh?
By the way, definately dont take it personal, no one means any harm, it is true what heinz said, many of us have been duped, it sucks, but we try to do our best to prevent it. There are a few people here who NEVER got their swaps, sme have had it happen a lot of times, that is why we have our new person rules in place though, no one meant to hurt your feelings or anything.
SpiderPig is on the left and Lagniappe is on the right. It's been unseasonably hot here this year, so i was spraying them down. You can't tell from the pic, but they are about 275-300 pounds right now! I will miss them terribly when we take them to freezer camp on Tuesday! In September we'll pick up 2 more and raise them for next year. It's hard, but all we can do is love them and make them happy until it's time.
I guess I am naive in a lot of ways. I just can't imagine not sending what you promised. My momma would take a switch to me and it wouldn't matter how old I got. My oldest sister is 52 and mom told her to hold still the other day so she could grab her ear. LOL
Yeah, they are done for the year. Nothing but yard eye candy until next year. At least they are cheap to feed.
I would love to do side trades next year when they lay. Just be sure you know they aren't show quality. One might be but I can't imagine putting him in the cab of the truck to the go to the nearest poultry show to find out. Just imagine the deck in a smaller space. Yuck!!
