Birchen have been hatching black with the colors showing as they grow. Yellow could be Delawares or Buff Orpingtons. Chipmunk ???? Maybe BLRW. Of course, who knows when they are all together. They should be colorful. I would love to see pictures when they finish hatching.

oooo that chicken looks like it has a pretty red comb....

Guys, i had a worse day today than yesterday... absolutely terrible, sometimes being a woman in a mans industry SUCKS. I was actually told that if I answered the commercial phone line we would lose business so I wasnt supposed to answer it (because I am a woman). Yes. He actually said that. I hurt my arm, didnt break it but it has a HUGE welt and is extremely sore, I did that at home. But on a good note, I had two baby chicks hatch earlier that I found when i went to candle eggs!

yay for babies.
I hope Shelly and Saddina are okay, I think Saddina was having some health issues like last month or so or maybe it was her husband... cant remember, but I hope everything is alright with them both. I think it seems like they disappeared about the time the east coast met up with Irene.... I realllllly hope they are alright

If it is agreed on between the swapper and swappee to ship the cheapest way it should be ok. I know i've done it. Eggs and other perishables I always ship priority with the DC#. I've sent eggs 3 times to 1 person because the P.O. messed up and they were'nt delivered in the 3 days it says it will. The people at the po always say they have up to 5 days which isn't what is advertised on their price board. I'm hoping this time they make it on time and he has a great hatch this time. The first box was sent 2000 miles in the wrong direction and was mostly broken by the time they got them. The replacements where held at 1 post office for 2 days that they claim doesn't exist. The second replacements hopefully made it. I haven't checked yet. I've had company from Indiana and have been busy with them.

Right now I have a 2 day auction going for eggs. I'm getting several partridge eggs finally but the bbs are scarce. We've been moving and it's effected their laying. Those that where moved before are now laying again and those just moved are hardly laying and there are some still at the other place. So it's kinda crazy right now. I normally hatch all winter with my girls eggs and several are usually broody most of the winter. They help, aren't they sweet? lol I"m sure they stay warmer and they also sit on each others eggs so they can take turns getting up. Oh for those that don't know they're silkie eggs.

Babymakes6- Yes the breyer is from me and will have a tracking number today.

Yoda- the mat arrived and with great ceremony from the kids, placed in front of the sink. I was then told that we could get another one for in front of the fridge. Told them I had only wanted the two for where I stand the most. They said they stand the most in front of the fridge.
