I got home later than usual, and the 'bator's humidity was down to 32!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What do I do? I added water and got it back up to 60, but I candled and don't see movement. I'm a bit crushed, actually. I was hoping (still am, I guess) that this hatch would render more than one lone chick.
Why does the humidity drop in the last 4 days? Are the chicks "sucking up" the moisture?? ughgh... I am really not happy.
Wait is the only thing I can do right???
However, I did come home to boxes!
Thank you reese, for the eggs! one of 7 cracked kinda bad, but I waxed it. Of course is was one of the big blue ones.
Thank you 202roosterlane for the troops sign and chicken bowl!
Thank you AllAmericanChick for the peppermint scrub, it smells really really great!
Is today hatch day? You did right.
In the future......Best thing to do, since you know it is going to happen, add water before you leave for work.
And just because you didn't see them moving doesn't mean the worst, they could be sleeping.
My
Brinsea does the same thing. I always have to add water the last day.
