Happy day here - I finally got an egg from my girls.

They took a couple of months off for molting and who knows what other excuse they'll use. But I finally got one. Hopefully more will follow. Not sure who laid it - one of my BOs or one of the five other pullets I have in there. 3 of the pullets should be laying green eggs. I'm doing the happy dance. The dancing may keep me warm too. Its only 12 here today and will get below 0 again tonight. Ugh

Got the eggs from Hot2pot today. To my amazement, the all arrived safely.

Is today hatch day? You did right.

In the future......Best thing to do, since you know it is going to happen, add water before you leave for work.
And just because you didn't see them moving doesn't mean the worst, they could be sleeping.

My Brinsea does the same thing. I always have to add water the last day.
