I know others have helped with working out getting the pics to show up on our swap pages but not only is this site slow but I have slow dial up internet and it takes forever to do anything as it is without things being slower. So if somebody would please PM me how to get my swap page up and going I would greatly appreciate it. It took me forever just to figure out how to get to it. I have to update who owes me swaps and who I owe. I'll try to get back in to do that. With any luck I won't get knocked off line again.

Thank you in advance for helping me out.

I just had a great idea! I know it'll probably take alot of work on your part, but how about listing multiple lots of eggs per auction, kind of like what people do on the 24 hr thread? You can put a comment in after you started so people can look at the first comment to see the current bid of a particular lot. From what I understand they have to submit bids and you have to accept them anyway, this just makes them do it by PM. If it turns out to not be such a good Idea i'll go back to putting all my ideas in this font so people can run over them.

got my eggs from michelle, the box looks like it went 12 rounds but there was only 1 cracked and 2 detatched aircells, all the others look perfect! My eggs from Nat...well they look like they're going to be spending the weekend with the post office. Since the box will have spent so much time with the post office i'll name any chicks after postal services, there'll be little parcel post, air mail and if one gets me mad he can be Special 4th Class.

Good grief im sorry Tom....its the 4th day today! Priority mail too..again im sorry!!!
shellyga and hot2pot dis younget yours? I mailed them all together!

its not your fault, I blame myself for not living closer to your chickens. They say 2-3 days but when going from east coast to west coasts those 3 hours matter alot, so my box probably missed 2 trucks and a plane this time instead of missing instead of missing the 1 truck and 1 plane they usually do.

All of you chick raising experts, I need you to tell me what I'm doing wrong. My LF chicks are doing great. My bantams, in another brooder, are dropping like flies. I probably have a 50% mortality rate. They get medicated chick starter and vitamins in their water (which the LF don't get and the bantams didn't either until I started losing some). I'd say most of my problem is with my Silkie chicks. It almost like they are dehydrated. I'm going to scramble an egg for them and see if that helps any.
Thanks,
Jim

Jim is your brooder too hot? Was the brooder cleaned before they went in? Try dunking their beaks in the water again..how old are they?

They are between 1-2 weeks old. They are in a 110 gallon poly stock tank with a light on one end so they can get away from the heat. The tank has never had chicks in it before.
I have been dunking their beaks too. It just seems like I always have problems with bantams. (And I like those darn puffy Silkies so I keep trying)

The bantams are from different sources (including my own bantam Langshans)
Thanks
