No blood in the poop, literally everything was fine till I gave them that chick starter feed. They were just crazy little happy go lucky fat chicks.
Normal poop. But on the day they would be sick and weak I noticed that sick chick had light poop with water around it. Instead of diarrhea. If that makes sense. The others seem happier today with the new feed. Though I lost 3 this morning, the others were moving about and eating the new feed. AMEN!

So Sorry 202.... just to be sure....could they have cocci. Are they puffy, slow moving around any bloody looking poop?

Oh, how terrible Pauletta!! I'm certain it was the feed. I'm so sorry, it would hurt me really bad as well if this were happening to me.

Pauletta, I am so sorry to hear about your chicks. I really hope you don't lose any more.

I think I would put any new chicks that hatch in a separate room from these, though, just to be on the safe side. I am still waiting on your last half-dozen of eggs. I got 3 eggs in the last week!

No hurry. If you have an order to fill for someone else go ahead and fill thiers first. My bators are full till more go in lockdown, 28 February. But if you do not have other orders I can buy another bator. Probably need it anyway. One of you ladies were building a large egg bator.......hmmm wanna build and sell me one?

Pauletta, run out and get Sulmet ASAP!!!! Sure sounds like cocci even if they don't show blood in the stool, it could be soo slight you are not noticing it?? They will continue to contaminate each other in the droppings till you have no more chicks.

Give them as directed on the bottle, then give yogurt for a few days to help realign the system.

What she said! Don't let your new babies near those others. I hope everything works out. It sounds like you're doing everything right.

Okay, everyone is seperated. NIbbled at the yogurt. And the sulmet. Had to try 4 places till I found it. Thank you so much! So far all is well with all the others. No weird poop or slumpy signs. Let's hope this works. Thank you sooooo much. How in the world do baby chicks 2 and 3 weeks of age get cocci. I am on baby chick patrol all night. It sure can't hurt! I Thank you, thank you thank you!
