That is way better then diamonds and roses. I am gonna look it up. Oh my goodness I am gonna dream of that bator all night! Maybe I should print it out and tape it to the fridge. You think my husband would take the hint?

Have hope for the fridge eggs. I have hatched eggs from the fridge many times, also hatched eggs that have set on the counter for 22 days. (actually these eggs are due to hatch Fri. but 9/10 developed).

Off to get the kids ready for school..half day today.

BHep's got mad skills with hatching eggs....

I WISH !!! I just stuck them in there, couldn't eat them

Now I had to order a 3rd bator last night... I do not like to hatch in my cabinet, I hate cleaning that thing and like it to stay nice & clean..... I hatch in my Brinsea that only holds 20-30 eggs and gets crowded fast, so last night I ordered a Genesis 1588 to hatch in. That should hold 50 and is easy to clean......MEANWHILE, I have 20 eggs in my hatching tray of my cabinet along with the Emu egg incubating.

I am already dreading the mess. !!!

So I am so EGGcited!!!! MY BRINSEA OVA EASY 190 came today!!!!!!!!!!!

I have it on and warming up and I cant wait to do a test hatch in it!!!!

I have em's test eggs ready to go in, and i know they were in the fridge and probably wont hatch anything but worth a try maran x americana (or maran) and eex americana (or maran)
and some japs

worth a try anyways. who knows maybe i can get a few to hatch out if they are still viable.

That is why we bought an older cabinet bator just for hatching, not to ruin our new Sportsman. It worked awesome as I could stagger hatches shelf to shelf or even divide shelves and hatch birds separate on the same level. We have just started hatching more staggered and I have been able to accommodate hatching in the Brinsea. Sooo - we put the older hatching cabinet up for sale.

I love hatching. I don't like raising chicks. I don't think I should ever get a cabinet incubator!!!!! But it is awesome.

Pauletta, how are things today??

Advice from all/any--- I'm selling my quail this weekend. How much do you charge for 6 wk old quail? CL has them for $5-6 but that seems like too much to me. They are fun to hatch, but I don't like having them.

The four weak ones died last night at 4 am when I set the alarm to check on them.

But the others are super spunky. Just recleaned everything, new feed and water, new meds. I am going to continue to treat everyone for the four days. It happens, I don't like it one bit but what's a chicken momma to do.
