I came home today and it was like Christmas! I had 3 boxes! Silkie eggs from Edna from a regular swap, BCM's and blue polish from Pauletta from a side swap and BBS and L from Coldupnorth from the June swap! All arrived safe and sound. Thank you!

The L's are Langshans? But what kind is the BBS?

that poor little girl.........me and my wife will pray for her and your family.....may God bless her little sores to heal fast....in Jesus's name Amen
I'm so sorry yur little girl and you are going thru all this. It's horrible to see the ones that depend on you to protect them go thru such things but sometimes it just can't be helped. We've been thru a few times with our daughter when she was very young and now our grandsons and it's just horrible to know they are scared and the docs are hurting them but it's all to help them in the long run. We've even had to hold our grandson down to get stitched up. He had an ATV accident and got scalped. Although they had him sedated he still fought and we had to help hold him down while they cleaned out the mud from under his scalp and then sewed and stapled his scalp back on. We had to take turns because we couldn't stand it for very long at a time. To see your childs skull and the skin just flopped over and the sound of it getting sewed up and him screaming. It's any parents nighmare. My daughter got ahold of rat poison that was in the form of a bar. We lived in an old house and we didn't know it was there. She brought it to me and said candy bar momma and it was half gone. Her stomach had to be pumped and she was just 3 years old.

Hang in there and it will just be a memory and your precious little girl will be all good. Stay positive everyday. Our prayers are with your daughter for a fast recovery and with you for the strength to be strong for her. God Bless.

So I figured I would finally post this so I don't have to tell each person I talk to....... My daughter has a rash called molluscus (?) Its a pimple like itchy rash that spreads by scratching like chicken pox. It usually runs its course in 6 months to a year then it goes away on its own. Its caused by a virus. We are going on 2 years with it. I make my kids practice really good hygene so luckily we havn't had anyone else get it but I don't know where she got it anyway..... Probably the playground?

Since its been so long the doctor decided to try to get rid of it. The only way to do it is to burn each 1 off with an acid like stuff. The actual procedure on friday didn't hurt at all and the doctor said to expect some minor pain and oozing or bleeding for a few days kind of like with chicken pox that have been scratched. By the time we got home though they looked like huge ozzing, bleeding blisters, like someone touched a cigarette to her over and over again all over her bottom and the back of her knees and legs. I felt so bad I cried because I let them do that to my little girl....... She had to wash the acid off the sores with mild soap and water after 6 hours. I had to force her into the shower and she screamed so hard she broke a bunch of blood vessels in her face so she has red freckles around her eyes and on her cheeks now....

I know its for the best though she might finally be done with it! It still kills me though to have to hurt the one I try so hard to protect......

They keep scabbing up so she has a hard time walking because it pulls on them and can't hardly sit still. She is 5 years old so keeping her down is impossible so they can't heal because she keeps breaking the scabs open as she walks or runs around...... And its worse because we are finally getting some nice warm weather and all she wants to do is go play outside in the sand box and at the park and I can't let her until they are heald...... All she can wear right now is 1 of my big sleep shirts and nothing else..... anything touching them is so irritating she can't stand it.

She is doing better though they are still sore and bleeding sometimes after almost a week now I think it will be another week until shes good enough to be able to sit on her butt and go places.... lol Worst part is my family all lives almost an hour away and we only have 1 really good neighbor, the rest are all weirdos and crazy people we don't talk to much so we dont leave our kids with them for anything..... We are the house all the neighborhood kids come to play at, and our 1 good neighbors have been out of town so I havn't been able to go anywhere or do anything because I can't take her with me..... and my DH has been working so much overtime by the time he gets home everything is closed and he leaves at 7am.......

So if I owe you a swap 2 people I believe I was not able to get it out this week as I couldn't get to the post office and it will have to wait until friday. My sister will be over and I will get the day to run errands finally!!!! I think I am going stur crazy being stuck in the house for a week now......
Prayers are being sent for you and your daughter. It is very hard to be a mom when your child is in pain. Sometimes I'm not sure who hurts worse. My oldest had some neutropenic blood problems when she was almost a year old (still does but controlled and understood) - she had to have daily blood draws, sometimes IVs, a spinal tap into her bone marrow and the list goes on. She thankfully does not remember it, but I remember it like it was yesterday. It is good that children don't always remember much of the pain (even at 5). Glad your sister will be able to come and relieve some of the stress on Friday.

Please pray for the people in our area - flooding is very bad and very quick (some places 10" within 12 hours). Lots of homes lost but thankfully so far, no lives lost. Bridges, parks, roads and almost entire towns swept away with the water. Most of the towns up here are in a state of emergency - not all small towns either. Duluth has more than 84,000. My little water in the basement because the sump hole overflowed is nothing compared to what many are dealing with here. Pray that it stays only property loss. Thanks everyone!

My heart goes out to you and everyone in your area. I know what you all are going through. We had to be rescue boated out of our home May 2010 when my son was 12 days old. It took 2 boats...first boat took our 2 teenagers out without problem. Our boat included myself and newborn, and 7 year old son and husband. We ended up getting caught on fencing and almost didn't make it out. Very scary for us. Had to stay in a hotel for a few days. Most roads were washed out or flooded. Came home to $15k outside destruction for us. Brother in law had $70k worth of Damage to inside of home. We were very lucky many others weren't. When you see cows floating by your home off into the woods..then you know it's serious. I'm praying for you all!!!

Also, I sent your first batch of eggs yesterday, but if you don't have time to deal with them, don't worry about it, I will replace them when you can. Take care of your family and your community first.
