I think I will give in and give them some Serama eggs tomorrow, they sure are cute all puffed up and stubborn. They are buff black tails one frizzled and one smooth from Castle Delight Seramas, their poor little roo Lobo looks lonely though.

You basically have no choice.... those little buggers are stubborn !! I have 4 broody right now, each happily sitting on 1 egg each.

I see a lot of people put misiters out for there chickens to combat heat stress. Would that help?

I use misters. I think it definitely helps. You have to be careful not to run them too long though or you'll have a wet coop... but if its outside under a tree... PERFECT!

I'm thinking that it is... just another lonely egg today. I did some research last night and I think they are suffering from heat stress. I'm doing my best to keep them cool, they have fresh water every day and lots of shade. I'm really hoping their laying goes back to normal soon... I've had to turn my regular egg customers down because I barely have enough for my own family.

I am having the same problem, we have been under a heat advisory for the last 3 days so I'm almost positive it's the heat. I have only gotten 2 eggs in the past week!!

I only have 1 egg in my fridge and I refuse to buy store eggs so I hope they start laying normal again soon. I too make sure they have fresh water and try to keep them as cool as possible, I'm thinking about getting a really big fan to put outside?

Yeah I would, But I don't want to start a Non-stop Argument. Just isn't worth it. I have to respect his imput. He wanted to buy another jet ski and I told him no. But the price was a big differance. But he did listen and respect my wishes so now I have to do the same.

Serama Molt a lot during growing out. You won't be able to tell the actual color of it until about 4 months old. It could be a Mottled, Partridge or even a Red. Its really hard to tell when they are so young.
