What's a Child Forum???

I saw, when doing the advanced search, a 'search child forums as well' button.
I have no idea what that is. Can someone explain. Is it a forum for children?

BTW, I LOVE the New BYC! So different, and fresh.

A child forum is a child of a parent forum. For example, Conversion Problems, Bugs, & Issues is a child of BYC Website & Forum Feedback & Announcements.

I thought so too, like for a school or something. Of course we would never have that here, since minors are not allowed to identify themselves for their own internet safety. We want BYC to be a safe place for everyone.
