We are hoping on making a bunch of matching chicken costumes...My younger brother is going to be a rooster and so is his friend, and all of my sisters and I are going to dress up as hens.
Although we are also thinking of just making random homemade costumes like one person dressing up as a chicken egg, another dressing up as a bottle of ketchup, etc. Something that will be easy and fun to make.
Last year I made my own costume, which was a head on a platter. I took a cardboard box, cut a hole in the top for my head, took the bottom part out for my body and legs, tapped a plastic white table cloth over it and made a hole in that for my head, cut a hole in a round food platter to match the hole in the box and table cloth, tapped some forks and spoons on top of the "table" along with a few small plates, and lastly I added fake food such as grapes and bread, and added fake blood. Bought most of this stuff at the Dollar Tree for a small cost and used some stuff that I already had and it turned out great!
