Whats going on with my silkie's wings?

My little blue silkie (7 days old) seems to be loosing his/her end wing feathers. They are almost skeletal!

Any ideas? are they being plucked or is this just normal.... everything else is perfect, even a little Mohawk appearing on its head!

It's normal.

Yup - looks like big boy/girl feathers are coming in! As they grow that covering (shaft) will be less noticeable. Your baby is growing up!

woke up this morning to see my silkie showgirl showing the same shafts on the end of him/hers wings.
*Sigh* im going to miss them not sat by my desk, but I do have another hatch coming up soon.

You're right, they do grow too quickly

They do grow quickly! But silkies are so sweet...you will have a lap chickie who loves you! Give her lots of love & petting and I bet you have a friend for life!
