What's Going on With This Pigeon?

So I was considering buying a pair of pigeons from someone, and they were sending me pictures of pairs they had already sold, and then I noticed this pigeon:

What's wrong with this guy? He's got something going on with his eyes and cere. If this is just mites I might consider still getting a pair from this seller but if it's more serious I'm going to pass.

I dont knnow but there may be nothing wrong... if you scroll down to #14 on this link there is a photo of a similar beak and eye cere.

plus a few other pigeon facts I didn't know. :wee ie absent preen gland correlates with increased powder down production.
 
Its fine. That is the way that breed is meant to look.

The very short beak and the fleshy growths. Not to my taste through.

Here are some examples of similar breeds. To my eyes they are really ugly.

Oh wow, I didn't realize they were meant to look that way. All the other pictures I find of the breed don't show them with the growths or the crusty eyes. They look like this:

If they're supposed to develop growths and eye crust then I don't think I really want them. Thank you!
