Automatic lights, feeder, and chicken door which can all be controlled by Alexa, and also cameras.

I don’t use lights as supplemental light, I just like being able to see when I go in the coop haha.

Scare tactics don't work long-term. Fake owls, lights, etc. only work for a while until the predator learns that those defenses aren't really doing anything to them.

Though my birds are currently locked in because a hawk was haunting the backyard and I was missing an 8-week-old when I closed up last night, the electric netting has been worth every penny.

For when they move to a coop: A poop board. It has kept my coop much cleaner and odor-free. The bedding has very little poop in it.

I second the heated waterer too, for winter.

A lot of great suggestions here. For keepers, heated waterer and auto door for sure, coop camera is a nice bonus as well when you want to do a headcount at 11 PM on a winter's night.

I forgot to even mention my headlamp. The one I have has both red and white bulbs in different intensities. Probably fancier than necessary, but I wanted the red option.

Also, I wear a nail apron since I don't like jeans and most women's clothing has either no pockets or useless pockets.
