What's out there?! Scary noises curious & nervous

I have seen a red fox go across my driveway 3-4 times but haven't seen it in awhile. And I tried to listen to a fox call (on line) but not very loud. This was LOUD! At least haven't heard it out there in the morning since. And at least it was not anywhere near the chicken coop (though it is very well protected )

A bobcat. Their sound is blood curdling. And if you catch their eyes they are looking right at you (me). But I haven't heard of one attacking people but watch chickens, small dogs and cats.

Mountain lions are actively being relocated across US by fish and wildlife. It is on the down low so they won't admit to it if asked. But anyway A mountain lion has long been known to sound like a woman screaming in agony. Should be recordings on line to see if it compares. It is quite likely the Bobcat sound is similar so large or largish cat is a possible culprit.

OK this is more curiosity because before when I've posted on the predator site it was because of the loss. So I'm glad this isn't on such a gram note but this morning on the opposite side of the property from the chicken coop I heard the most frightening noise. Very much sounded like a young girl getting killed. But I could tell shortly after obviously an animal. I've always lived in the rural areas and used to having to worry about coyotes foxes raccoons in the occasional bobcat. I've heard the coyotes howl at my old property before but this was a sound unlike no other. But I have moved to a 17 1/2 acre property surrounded by conservation area.
So just curious and the coop is prepared for predators but what screams such a spine wrenching scream at 4 AM ?!
Rabbits? Our neighbor use to butcher their rabbits and the first time I heard it I thought the same thing. After that we always left for the day when he filled his freezer.

I’ve heard coyotes howl as well but only recently heard what they sound like when taking down an animal. I thought I was going crazy at night hearing kids screaming and laughing (the only way I can describe it) until the neighbor told me what it was.

It could have been a peacock. They make a sound like a girl or child screeching or being killed . Where I grew up they were wild and at night up into the early morning they would call out and it would send chills down your spine.
