What's out there?! Scary noises curious & nervous

By looking at a map on iNaturalist, I don't think there are Mountain Lions or Fisher Cats in Virginia.

I suggest Barn Owl, elk, bobcat, or fox. Fox sounds can vary, and many audios don't capture the true tone.

Mountain lions are in some areas around Va but would be super rare to make it to my area. Anyone who lives near me is nowhere near me
And no peacocks
What surprised me is how loud it was. I was in the back coming out of the Chicken run and could here all the way on the other side of the house, detached garage and side yard. It was couple hundred yards to wood line. My flashlight immediately went to the area and I ran fast toward it and could hear it at the woods rustling about. Not sure why I ran TOWARD the sound
