Whats popular in Muscovy?

On BYC anything anyone posts seems to be true.......at least until it is proven to be false. So something can be true for 2 minutes or 209 years. I would love to see proof of the comb duck muscovy crosses..or any DNA results from muscovies.

Since I have actually seen your birds, I can say that they have much more meat than the commercial muscovies and your females are about twice the size of a backyard type.

Walt would you say Ryan's whites would improve a flock being raised for meat? That is why DH has them, but since I am working on project colors in my chickens he would like to improve the white Scovy he has if possible.

They would increase the overall size of any duck you put them on and you would have bigger females for meat.

Amazing we started with 4 feed store chickens. Grew from there, figured out what we do and don't like. Bought new property, added other chickens. Got ducks, added more ducks and geese and 2012 will begin our true breeding of our stock. I spent 9 months reading everything before each new fowl was added.

Nice to have others who get the love of these birds and setting goals and having others help and offer advice.
