What's so special about Silkies? [got them!]

OMG I'm new to the chicken world and am totally hooked! I saw a silkie on a website and melted. I want to have a couple some day. So pretty.

My silkie chicks are growing big, they have little puffballs for tails right now but not a whole lot else. So funny.

Heres my new herd of buffalos .... err silkies. They are already fun to watch and I can't wait to see them grow into puff balls. I had 11 of 12 eggs hatch so Im very happy with that.

Turns out I'm probably going to be getting rid of about five of my teenage chickens.
Found out more than I initially thought are cockerels, and they were supposed to be pullets.

Good thing I decided to get two chicks.

Bad thing is that they only come in straight run, so I'll probably be stuck with boys.

It's now been three days! I wish they'd hurry up!
