I'm thinking about purchasing a book on silkie breeding, genetics, colors and SOP. I've had a lot of people recommended buying a book on this topic to learn more about it. Every single person has suggested a completely different book, so I'm a bit lost. They seem to be quite expensive, so can anyone suggest some books that wouldn't cost so much? Under 60€ preferably if not even less. I think most books I've looked at cost 70-80+ €. Maybe there's an alternative way of learning more on this topic. I understand that they are quite pricey because these authors put all their knowledge into these books. Still I feel like browsing many different articles and websites is a bit of a messy way to learn.

Not sure how things are in your country,,, but can you visit a library, and check a book out??? Then just take notes of what is relevant to your breeding program.

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and :welcome

I recommend "Silkie Chickens: All You Need to Know" by Vanha Handri. It's comprehensive and under 60€. Great value for its price!

I used to study to be a nurse, so I have some knowledge, but lately I realize that I have quite a bit of knowledge and I want to become better. Sometimes I used such resources as https://edubirdie.com/nursing-paper-writing-service and there are really professionals who can help with tasks. But now I would like to read something new and learn more information. Thank you all immediately for the recommendations!
Here you can find a lot of interesting information. Thanks for the question!

To update I've been recommended this book called "Silkies and Silkie Bantams" by Sigrid Van Dort. It's considered the most complete book ever written on Silkies. It covers all Silkie varieties and is very detailed. There are also a lot of illustrations to help better understand it.
I personally have not bought it yet, but I have briefly flipped through it when someone who owned it let me take a look. I would definitely invest in this book in the future.
You can find more information on it here.
