In my opinion,which is slightly jaded, the bantam leghorn is the next wave. Hold on you say they aren't new....and you would be right....but i have seen some very interesting birds lately. Check out, if you can find them, the Exchequer, the Columbian / Buff Columbian, any of the Flitters; gold/silver/ bleubrown/browngold... Probably won't be able to find them here but they are coming on in Europe....I'd like to be the first here to have some at a show.

I am betting on Polish going to be the next bubble.

Polish are gaining ground and fast, but I think it may be a few more years before they are at the top of the "fad chain". It may come faster than I think though with all these new colors coming along.

wow! . . . a chicken for $300. What was she made of, gold? I guess I can't say anything . . . when a neighbor's dog got loose & tore up my Australorp hen (she originated as a $2 hatchery chick), she survived the attack and the Vet bill was $400 which I made the neighbor pay. Imagine how they felt, paying $400 for somebody else's chicken that was purchased for $2 up the street at the feedstore? And they didn't even get any of her eggs.​

Blue Hen wonderful birds, thanks for sharing. I also fell in love with you Aussies. I have a Red Tri and she is getting up in age like her mom and I am feeling such anxiety about her these days. They are such wonderful dogs and I don't know how I will get by when her time comes. I glad to see someone with nice pups for future reference.
