^^^^This bringing us another 4-9 inches of snow (on top of the 10 we just received monday night) + windchill of -40 degrees.

6 in central Washington -10 with windchill. They're saying 3 & -20 tonight. Now that winter is here. I wish I would snow and keep the ground frozen for a few, I could do with less mud for a minute.
Warming up my fermented feed by the fire to give them that little extra warmth this morning. Figured I would check in here to remind myself that they (ducks & chickens) ,in fact ,do not need heat no matter how cold I am. Glad I did, I think today might be a good day to put some Vaseline on combs and waddles, It's going to be a breezy one.
