Residents in Queensland's outback are bracing for weeks of isolation after ex-Tropical Cyclone Kirrily flooded main roads with hundreds of millimetres of rain over several days.

The system, which is hovering over the Queensland, Northern Territory border near Birdsville, will begin its journey south-east towards New South Wales today and tomorrow, bringing light showers and winds to the state's coast on Tuesday, according to the BOM.

Meanwhile, authorities are watching another tropical low gaining strength in the Coral Sea off Queensland's coast.

Thanks for sharing, it’s always interesting to see News from the other side of the planet. Sure is a lot of flooding, hope people and livestock are ok 😟

14:10hrs, Central Ontario, Canada.

The mild weather continues, it’s +3C (37F) and glorious sunshine. Crazy weather for her a m February, we should be suffering through snow squalls and a meter of snow, or more, -20C or colder!

I am not whining but it sure seems like a tease and I fear we will pay for it next month. But for now it’s am enjoying this glorious weather!
