Yesterday was the first storm of the season. It was violent, we got 3" of rain in less than an hour. That's a huge amount in the desert. There was widespread flash flooding and damage and at least one death.
Our coop and house were damaged. We spent an hour outside in the storm trying to protect everything as best as we could.
The flock is okay. That was one heck of an introduction to their first monsoon season. They are still young at 14 and 11 weeks and were terrified by all the noise and chaos. They nearly crushed each other trying to get away from it.
We have a lot of rebuilding to do.
