A period of very cold wind chills is expected.

Overnight low temperatures near or below -30 C combined with winds up to 15 km/h will lead to extreme wind chill values or -40 or colder tonight into Thursday morning. Conditions are expected to improve late Thursday morning as warmer air pushes in from the west.

Extreme cold warnings are issued when very cold temperatures or wind chill creates an elevated risk to health such as frost bite and hypothermia.
