What's the temperature where you are???

69° and sunny at 3:30 P.M. Just got back from an afternoon walk with the dogs.

This is kind of a bad area and there aren't many families but someone always has kids on the weekends. It's lovely to hear them playing outside, makes the neighborhood seem a whole lot nicer!

They were here over Christmas and on Christmas Day they were all outside with their new presents, razor scooters and hover boards and such.

When I was a kid on Christmas Day our quiet neighborhood streets were filled with kids playing with their new toys: bikes, roller skates, skateboards, jump ropes, RC cars, footsies, romper stompers, etc. That seems like a very long time ago now.

OUCH!
It's time for some good-natured harassment. I need to call my cousins in Georgia and the Carolinas. They all moved South to get away from this stuff. I'm gonna offer to sell them a snow shovel, CHEAP ... ish!

My roommate found a big snow shovel in an alley while she was walking the dogs last summer. She brought it home and put it in our backyard. She thinks it's hilarious.

😐

I know you're dealing with weather issues but I wanted to say, my gosh how stunningly beautiful that is! That's the kind of place beach lovers like me dream about.
The sun is out and the wind has dropped today - a great thing for the kids on school holidays! The skatepark isn't the same without all the skating comps and tourists. The coastal zones and Queensland are very popular during the Christmas / summer school holidays, but I'm sure the wet and windy weather has added to the adventures of many despite the power outages.
