We've always done the same thing, letting the youngsters out earlier if we didn't need all the days. After not needing them for a few years, our school board - in it's finite wisdom - decided to do away with built-in extra days, this year. Baaaaad Timing! I doubt it's a mistake they'll make again!

Humid and hot, if this keep going for a few more days we will have storm which is to be expected.

I had refilled my chicken runs with pine barks, and just hope for the best.
I dream of being at the beach, sitting under a cool nice shade tree and sipping cold drink.... I can just head out now, but I am not sure if my feather kids will appreciate me leaving them to fence for themselves in this heat.
