The last couple of mornings have been cold, 37°F and 39°F, respectively. Only going to be in the low 50's tonight. Was wondering why the pecan trees haven't budded out yet, they are always the last to bud out....they seem to know if we're going to get another freeze after March the 15th. I've seen a freeze here in SCT (28°F) on April the 12th before back in 1984!

Have seen snow in June here - it’s doesn’t stick to anything but the big fluffy flakes sure didn’t make me happy! This better not be one of those years….

That's interesting - Easter was also a late one that year, the 22nd of April, the first Sunday after the full moon on the 17th. This year the full moon is on the 12th. If I were a tree, I wouldn't come out of hiding until this full moon is well on the wane, maybe the 17th? haha. My mulberry is still in leaf, as are all the liquid amber street trees around town. By Mother's Day (11th of May) the trees should be bare.
