Blowing snow and a high in the teens to low 20's today.

I'm so sorry! I used to live there and also Chicago area I remember that stuff well!

With the "feels like 0°F" I didn't bother to open pop doors. I did make sure the birds have thawed water and plenty of food.
We should warm and thaw this weekend....maybe.

at this moment (morning) the temperature is 15 degrees. It can be quite cold here, but it's rare

We are at 16°F with a feels like 6.

We get some gosh awful lows here but NOT this early. We got about an inch of widow maker heavy wet snow. Then it turned to rain and made a skating rink out of the streets and sidewalks by the mall.
