47F Showers. So my weather app says. It’s also blowing pretty good too. I put some water in a pan last night in case we lose power, so at least we’d be able to fix some instant coffee before dragging the generator out.

Thank you...Yes we are in 2020...it is 1.10am 1/1/2020......but sadly isn’t a happy start, we are still burning, way worse than before. It is like it is never going to end. We have family and friends trapped in areas of catastrophic fire and no way to find out if they are ok, as power, phone and Internet are all out, and have been for over 8 hours It tried to rain, I think it tried really hard, but it was just way to hot for it to do any good

Oh so do I, it is so scary out there. The south coast still has no power, mobile phones or internet, so still no word.

It is so upsetting to see so much of the bush burnt and seeing the quaint little towns all but destroyed, and there is still loads more to burn but the worst loss and saddest loss, is the loss of at least 9 people, three of who are fire fighters.

I know I have said it before and keep saying it, but my Lordy we have gone past desperately needing rain.

We had fires popping up all around town last night, and the last of the 5 roads out of here was blocked at one point.

In my life time, I have never seen our fires season this bad, and we are only one month into the actual fire season.
