6 right now. Their water keeps freezing and I have to change it out several times a day. Happy to say my chickens are all getting along despite being "cooped up" lol. The sun is shining and there are beautiful cardinals out too! Wondering if I should let my chickens out too. I mean if the wild ones are out, can mine go out too?

I agree, I think they can handle it if the wild birds can. Mine had access to the run at 4 ºF yesterday morning, and they did venture out. Last year I let them out in snow every day. This pic from last winter since we didn't get much this winter.

Oh. I forgot, It was -33 when I first looked. It has warmed up to -32 now.

I am ready to be done with winter, I am so glad it is only 6 more months till Spring.

But I have 5 babies this morning so that lightens my normally sour mood.

16 degrees this morning and forgot to turn hose off last night so it froze and busted
Poor chickens had to wait for me to carry out buckets of water
