-8 this morning in northern MI. It's cold but we're prepared for it. Feel sorry for the people in TX with no power. Their pipes will freeze and that won't be apparent until the thaw and the pipes burst.

As I hit send, the power came back on, guess it wasn't the substation supplying my area. We are forecasted to have more freezing rain tonight....the madness never ends.

-13 with calm wind. Sun just broke the horizon, should see temps above zero soon. You know its cold when your cold tap water steams. The ducks are eagerly awaiting their routine sunbathe.

I'm not worried about the fridge. The ice accumulation is the problem now, powerlines will be coming down, tree limbs, etc...all the roads are closed, like anyone needs to be going anywhere but repair crews and other emergency personnel are going to take along time to get there if you have an emergency.
It has just been one big fiasco after another here. 3 million are without power state wide, 300,000 in San Antonio alone!

You guys are having a winter apocalypse for goodness sake. Prayers for you

Have snow piled about 1.5 ' on the roof -somebody across the way has a big roof rake and I watched him pull down a whole avalanche of snow. Wish he'd do my house. Of
course we are due for more and more snow and bitter cold temps, and wind chills.

Wouldn't seem so bad but, had 3 mild winters in a row and now getting the backlash of that. More snow coming
