yep, every morning...especially when the wind is from the Southeast, coming in off the Gulf. And right now, it's 100%, thunderstorms.

There is still a little snow left in the mountains. We have had a lot this year. The runoff means our little stream beds (we call them "washes") that are usually empty year-round have some water in them right now, it's so different from what we're used to!

The extra rainfall has brought out some wildflowers. We generally don't see those until November (which is the closest thing we have to "spring"). It's unusual and very pretty.

It's weirdly green here right now. Yesterday I drove about 100 miles north and the landscapes all along the way were almost recognizable. It was so green it looked like I was in the midwest, not like the desert at all.

It's going to dry up in the next few weeks and we are going to have a terrible allergy season but it's nice to look at for a little while.

These little lizards are everywhere right now. My dogs love to hunt them in the backyard.
