There are a lot of cockatoos and currawongs around today. I even sighted this little beauty hopping around in the bottlebrush.

The Diamond Firetail (13 cm) inhabits the South-east of Australia. Feeding exclusively on the ground; an endangered species in the woodlands of New South Wales.


Currawongs are cheeky birds. Back in the day, when foil-capped milk bottles were left by the milk'o, it was a race to get the milk before these birds stole off with the shiny caps lol
