I do not know how folks live in these places. Texas summers are enough. -can't imagine a hotter climate. Years ago, the hubby was presented with a transfer/promotion opportunity to Phoenix. The response was immediate: cannot/will not live in that environment.

Air conditioning. and sun shades. And pools. What boggles my mind is how people lived here before AC and refrigerators.
