This week two years ago, we had a frost so hard I was able to scrape the date onto the car window. August is usually our coldest and windiest month. No one is complaining that we're in shorts already. I've had unprotected bok choy, roma lettuce and sweet potato slips (planted at the end of summer) growing all winter. The coriander and bok choy is flowering and looks beautiful. The thistles and milkweeds are giving the chickens plenty of pickings.
67 degrees F 85% humidity Clear 3 mph winds
Been working all week on an outdoor catio under our awning out front. Repairing the supports on the awning itself. I will be happy to get this job over with and done. I need to repair a water leak on one of the showers in the house.
