Wensenday: 3:45am, It's freezing in South Texas this morning, 50°F, humidity 95%, wind NW @ 4mph, crystal clear skies. Thought summer would never end!

When I go from 80’s / 90’s to 50F I’m freezing too
Used to when I go from 32 or less to 60’s I was ready for shorts and sandals
Now it’s got to be upper 70’s / 80’s

in early 2018 back when I was 57 (last time it snowed where I live) I went stomping around in the snow and had so much fun

December 2022 when I was 61
I no longer want to walk in 32 or less weather

This year on June 20, 24 (63 years old) is when I hibernated from the heat

I understand perfectly....I was 24 when I left the cold country....snow was pretty but after awhile you begin to hate it. I moved to South Texas and the 1st winter, we got 13" of snow!!!thought I had left it behind!
Today is the first day the AC hasn't run since April. it will be in the 70's today! So it will be a nice day, no clouds in the sky and lots of sunshine.
I'm like a lizard, the warmer it gets the better I like it but not 110°F for weeks or months at a time. Usually it's in the upper 40's for lows and upper 60's to 70's by the end of October. The coldest weather is usually in January and February in South Texas.....and it usually doesn't last but for 2 or 3 days, a week if really cold weather pushes through and stalls out over us!
