I got 80 bricks last weekend, so I will start on laying them in my chicken runs preparing for more nasty wet weather and muddy chicken runs.

Guess it’s the great cold and snow makers here.

At 2109, mostly cloudy and 33°F. Been weirdly warm and rainy this winter, we got an inch in one day, which is unheard of here. The coldest it’s gotten was 25° last month. In January 2024, we had 0°F. That was fun. This warmth is getting to me though. Winter is supposed to be cold…

8.57p.m. Cold, windy and scattered showers all day. The temp dropped from Monday's 32C to 18C this morning. Back in the thermals today! Last nite we had a dry thunder storm that shook the windows and creeped me out a few times. The chickens felt it coming; they were in bed very early and didn't even come out when they saw me with food.

Tuesday: 5:25am, 28°F, dew point 19°F, humidity 63%, wind NNE @ 7mph, clear. Cycling my well to keep the pipes from freezing, have a skating rink in my backyard, the bird's waterers are not frozen, even with this temp.
