Bellambi is 15mins from me.
This seems like some vicious storms you’re having there - is this the norm?

Already decided to bring my ducks all down to their nice big duck hospital room for Sunday to Thursday this week. Temps too low for me to track through the snowstorm out back to keep their foods and waters done and their poops cleaned up. No way Jose
Wise move. And I am sure they will appreciate it also! Be careful and stay warm.

Thinking about school closures next week because the children are not used to waiting for the school bus in teens degree wind chill
We are not used to this kind of weather

Buildings not prepared for this low of cold etc

Sure hope it’s not too bad, Mother Nature is off the rails.

Nice today, mild and snow tomorrow and then Sunday till Thursday very chilly here. Good old fashioned winter type weather for here.

Wow. updated forecast - 😒
I know there are places where it gets cold like this regularly but not being used to it makes it worse. Saying prayers for everyone affected by this cold snap.

Make sure to to keep your ears, nose, hands and feet protected.

And of course your chooks too. May need to keep them in the coop a few days if they aren’t used to cold.

They have a covered run that has plastic around it (except at the top for ventilation of course) and the coop is 2x bigger than what they need. I do plan on getting the portable oil filled radiator out and putting it in the coop at night. Not too warm so they don't get a shock but enough to make it not so bad. I am going to get the snow suit, fur lined boots, heated gloves and a balaclava out for me. I'll look like a staypuft marshmellow person but I won't freeze. LOL.
