Oh no! I'm in the desert but I'm not of the desert. Wherever I live, I will always and forever be a beach girl. My coastal northern European ancestry demands it. Also, I was born in a town the Beach Boys sing about in "Surfin' USA."

I will be back on a coast in a few years. I don't know which coast, yet. I'm saving money and watching the markets.

That's one of the reasons I like this thread: I get to read about first-hand experiences from people living on different coasts!

It's currently 45° and the local weather says it is sunny..... We have a solid cloud cover. If they can't get this right I just don't trust them one tiny bit for what the next decade is going to be like

Yesterday and today were just lovely for February. +6C both days and just spotty rain today. The chooks were out on Mount Poopmore when I got home, enjoying being outside. But alas all hood things must come to an end and second winter will come, Thursday will be back to snow and snow all weekend, and Saturday overnight down around -20C. Brrrr!

But time is on my side and Spring will eventually arrive.
