What's the temperature where you are???

The weather everywhere is Topsy Turvy, never was like this.

I give my gang hot mash every morning, it’s layer pellets soaked with hot water - they go wild for it.
Oooh, thanks for the idea! I'm going to give that a go .. who knows, I may even get one of those rare, odd-shaped edible things lol

We have just crumbles and I do it almost every morning. They do all go nuts for it here too...adults and chicks! The cross-beak hen comes running for hers and pecks everyone else away. Spoiled! :gig

57F now. High was 63F. Low 54F. It rained on and off most of today. The ducks weren't so sure, as this was their first time, so they took cover on the chicken side. We led them over to their own side. :) Meanwhile, a couple of silkies were just standing out in it. I think they know the worms come out.

The June Solstice (Winter) in Wollongong is at 12:42 pm on Saturday, 21 June 2025. In terms of daylight, this day is 4 hours, 37 minutes shorter than the December solstice. In locations south of the equator, the shortest day of the year is around this date.

The earliest sunset is on 11 June or 12 June. The latest sunrise is on 30 June.

The season of the year when the Sun is in the Tropicks, are called the Solstices, because at those times the Sun seems to be at a stand with regard to his declination, neither going further from the Equator, nor coming nearer to it for several days. [Thomas Harrington, "Science Improved," 1774]

Like @Nym I will try this tomorrow morning. It is freezing cold over here now. When I open my mouth to speak in the morning smoke comes out, too cold. My chickens combs look powdery.. layer pellets soak in hot water for them tomorrow and me oat soak in hot milk 😄

It's really hard to imagine that now our frozen tundra is in the 60s and 70s, and over there, you're getting frigid weather. 🤔
