What's the temperature where you are???

Mine don’t like the cold or snow!

And they don’t like the heat…. They don’t like the rain…. Or the wind…. They are spoiled!

But today is a lovely day, 26C and a light breeze, getting hazy again with wildfire smoke, but a nice day. Everyone is happy including me.

Just about time to get them inside so I can get supper.

26C is perfect weather!
Beautiful flock you got there, green lawn and sunshine! 🌻

It is very cold here now, most of my flock have their feather puff up except for my 2 Wyandotte, they just walk about with their beautiful thick coats.

Inside my house now is 13C=55F. My fingers are almost frozen, the part that my gloves do not cover.

Edit to add that the warmest place in this cold weather is the kitchen, so cosy and so nice smell of comfort food.

Do you not have furnaces there? Or even a space heater?

We have propane furnace, wood stove and a fireplace. Though I don’t use the Woodstove or fireplace anymore. Too messy with hauling wood and ash about.

Time for a swim

We were only 7 miles from Disney World
before I retired where I worked was 9 miles away

No, houses in my state do not have furnances, wood stove and very few have fireplace. Our state is being the sunshine state and summer is very hot. Houses here are build to overcome the summer heat..thus it call the Queenslander.

I do have an oil heater and reverse cycle aircond, but these are not central heating, they are only in 1 room. So I wear layers of clothes, constantly drinking warm water and move about more so to keep warm.

I'm in No. Central West Virginia...it was -11 (that's not a typo, yes MINUS 11 Degrees) this morning! I hope I don't find chicken-pops when I go to feed and water this morning!

Yesterday, the radio said Alaska was averaging 40 degrees, it was -5 here at the time! I don't like the heat, but this is CRAZY COLD!

How frozen are you guys???

Oh...my goodness that is so beautiful and inviting...definitely go for a swim!🏊‍♂️☀️⛱️

Do you go to Disney World often? Like 1 a year

My son and daughter in law paid for me and her mother and my grandson 4 and my granddaughter 2 was free.

and daughter in law’s cousin and his family went also.

There were 11 of us total.

My last trip was in sep’2012 and before that was in aug’2002

This year makes the 50th anniversary from the first time I went with my family in the summer of 1975 when I was 14

We loved it so much it was our family vacation twice a year

Back when it was affordable

And I went many times by my self or with someone other than family

This was at least my 50 trip that I can specifically remember possibly more that I have forgotten about.

Most of my own trips by myself were Friday drive there. Saturday magic kingdom. Sunday drive home.
