What's the temperature where you are???

54 degrees. We had a decent storm move in overnight and it's still raining. This is the first real rain the girls have experienced. The run is fully covered on top, but with the wind, there are wet spots inside. Some of them must have stood on the open side because they have wet droopy tails.

Australia was home to the hottest place in the world this week as the country's "heat engine" cranked up ahead of summer.

On Monday, the remote Pilbara station Mardie reached 43.5 degrees Celsius, making it the hottest spot on the planet for the day, according to online world temperatures site El Dorado Weather, which collates temperature data from thousands of stations around the world.

It was followed by Fitzroy Crossing in the Kimberley, and the Pilbara towns of Onslow, Marble Bar and Telfer.

Australian towns took out 10 of the top 15 spots.
