N.E. winds have picked up here. Very chilly!

It's supposed to rain a little today, so yesterday afternoon I rebuilt the roof of one of the pens. My plan was to remove the existing roof, replace the wood frame, and rebuild the roof over the new frame with hardware cloth and tarps.

As soon as I removed the roof, it began raining - a day early. The hens had been moved to another pen before I started working so they were all right. I just kept working through the rain and rebuilt the roof anyway.

That was it for the rain but some of the clouds stuck around and dropped the temps by about 10°. It's 71° at 10:00 A.M. with a high of 78°.

Chicken delights today are wheat grass, rice, and broccoli.
