At 2:00 P.M. it's 67° and there's a very light RAIN. It's been dribbling on and off all day. What a nice start to the new year!

The chickens are mad they're stuck in their pens and can't get out into the turnout pens for the afternoon like they usually do but the turnouts don't have tarps. It's raining, ladies, do you really want to be out in the rain?

Gosh I laughed at that - looks like my Ruth the little pecker. She did a real good job of trying to tear out my eyeball when she was 9 weeks old.

Gave the eye dr a good laugh when I told him I was done in by a baby chicken.
