Yep idiots who drive like maniacs, cause so much trouble on the roads.

I love driving Ol Blue (my truck) through 2’ snow drifts and watching through my rear view mirror, the dingalings in their fancy BMWs try to follow me through them. Yep off into the rhubarb they go! Slow down crazy person! And get snow tires!

Happy New Year everyone!

Woke to -17C and mix of sun and cloud, also woke to more snow - spent over 4 hrs shovelling and clearing snow around the driveway house and barn. High of -7C earlier, currently -10C (15F).

Forecast low tonight -11C, tomorrow forecast high of -6C and surprise more snow.

Next few days ‘rinse and repeat’, it’s a ‘what you see is what you get’ forecast.

And I love when the weather person says ‘it’s -18 but feels like -40’

No it doesn’t feel like -40c! At those temps the plastic coating on you extension cable to plug in your truck cracks and breaks! When your eyes water and you blink your eyelashes freeze together! And forget about trying to use gorilla tape to fix anything outside, it doesn’t stick at all!

At -18c you can still function outside….

Ahhh yess! You completely get it! I don't know why I still try to use tape anymore lol. Oof extension cords are such a nightmare and metal door handles/locks are tragic because I somehow forget my gloves every time I leave.

I'm in No. Central West Virginia...it was -11 (that's not a typo, yes MINUS 11 Degrees) this morning! I hope I don't find chicken-pops when I go to feed and water this morning!

Yesterday, the radio said Alaska was averaging 40 degrees, it was -5 here at the time! I don't like the heat, but this is CRAZY COLD!

How frozen are you guys???

9 degrees (North Dakota). It was 38 two days ago though.

Gosh I laughed at that - looks like my Ruth the little pecker. She did a real good job of trying to tear out my eyeball when she was 9 weeks old.

Gave the eye dr a good laugh when I told him I was done in by a baby chicken.

I'm glad you still have your eye and can laugh about it now. The local sailing club grounds has been taken over by a sole sentry gull. It swoops and yells each time the dogs are on the grass. There is nowhere for a nest, so I'm not sure why it's on active duty. I'm sure ppl are getting a giggle watching me waving my ball launcher at it. Birds! lol

Ooooo wet hands and metal barn door handles are my thing! And why my
Finger tips are all sore and frost nipped at the moment. Gosh I detest winter.

But the full moon on the snow does make its very bright outside!
