What's the temperature where you are???

18 degrees F , heat wave!
Speaking of heat wave, is everyone in the colder parts of the U.S. getting what shows up to us as a literal heat wave over the next five days? Like in the 30s, with Thursday being the highest, hitting 38°F. 😳

Today, high of 21F, low 20F compared to near 0F, so it's starting! :celebrate

68° and sunny with 55% humidity at 1:30 P.M. High of 70°. Chicken delights are cucumber and wheat grass.

Bright sunrise.

We get them a couple times a year, during the day, and the dogs go nuts. We get the dogs in the house. The bear usually leave then. Otherwise we have had to shoot a shotgun in the air to scare them away.

Not sure if you are able to get 'bear bangers' - but those can be fired from a rifle, and scare the bears away. They also use rubber bullets here to encourage them to move along.

Electric fencing can keep them from your property if they become too much of a nuisance.

Love those cubs - great photo! nothing more dangerous than a mama bear (unless it's a mama moose!).

Yes - the central/eastern part of North America is in for a 'short' warm up and rain - oh joy, rain on all that snow on my roof, hopefully it will lubricate it and it will slide off! Otherwise it just weighs it down. The snow soaks up all that rain really well!

Then by the weekend back to winter - ugh.... It's the overnight lows that I am most interested in. Daytime highs only last not even an hr in most cases; but overnight lows will predict the daytime temps overall. As long as the overnight temps are at or above freezing it's all good. But if they are below freezing then that means cold.

But - before that supposed warmup I have to get through the snowfall warning for tomorrow
:he :he :he

Currently

-8C (17F) and light snow falling (all day...), forecast low overnight of -13C and snow tomorrow and lasting all day.

I wrote to the environment agency that puts out these warnings and told them that a Yellow Warning - Snowfall means "don't eat yellow snow". No reply back on that one - yet....

OK on that note have a splendid evening/night/day everyone!
