Went out to check on the chickies this morning, and found that Lola had something wrong with her wing. It seems to be stuck out at an angle. It is not causing her any obvious difficulties and it doesn't seem to bother her when I manipulate it. It seems like the last joint is stuck. I can't open it or close it like I can the other wing. She is my hen who likes to try and get out of the yard. If she can get on top of something, she will. Caught her on top of my 7ft fence the other day. Whatever it is happened between 3pm yesterday and this morning. It was already dark when I shut up their coop last night, so I didn't notice it.

Any ideas of what it is and if there is anything I can do for her?

    thanks!

Quote:I'm not an expert. Maybe she just pulled a muscle or two and the swelling is keeping her from moving her wing? If she would let you wrap her up in a towel and put ice on it for a while, it might make the swelling go down. Otherwise a vet would probably give her a steroid for the swelling. It would probably get better in a few days on it's own if it's swelling, as long as nothing is torn.

Sorry I can't be of more help, I've never had anything like that happen yet.

I hope she is better soon!
